In 2012 ,Hampshire County Council has started changing most of the street lights with new ones . Some of the new lanterns for the mains roads are Philips Iridium lanterns ( SON-T bulbs , electronic integral gear , green colour canopy , CMS ) ,WRTL ARC lanterns ( SON-T bulbs , green colour canopy , CMS ) . In these lanterns they also use CosmoPolis Cosmo White CPO bulbs . These lanterns use the external Nodes which plug in to a S6000 Socket .
Some of the new lanterns for the side roads are WRTL Libra lanterns ( CFL bulb ,integral gear , CMS ) . These lanterns use the external Nodes which plug in to a S6000 Socket .
Some of the new lanterns for the Heritage Areas are Metcraft Victoria lanterns and Metcraft Gladstone. lanterns .These lanterns use the internal Nodes .
I noticed in the Metcraft Victoria lanterns and when they use CFL bulbs they use SGS 203 reflectors and when they use CosmoPolis Cosmo White CPO bulbs they use MPO reflectors .
These new street lights are controlled by a Central Management System . The Central Management System is a Mayflower Central Management System (CMS).
In these street lights lanterns , there are Ballest Nodes and each one gets its signal from a remote controller (Collector ) by radio control . This remote controller gets its information from a Central Management System computer .
In 2014 ,Hampshire County Council has started using WRTL Luma lanterns ( Led bulbs , green colour canopy , Mayflower CMS ) .
