The street lights are heritage 8M metal posts with top entry MIKE SMITH DESIGNS METRO AUTHORITY lanterns ( SON-T bulb , integral gear , miniature 1 part photocell ) and these were installed in 1995 . The old street lights were 8M metal posts with THORN ALPHA 9 lanterns ( less gear, 90W SOX bulb , RTE P42 2 part photocell) .

The lighting for the Zebra crossing is 8M URBIS posts with URBIS ALBANY ZEBRA lanterns ( painted black , integral gear , zebra teardrop bowl , MH bulb , miniature 1 part photocell ) and this zebra crossing was installed in 2003-4 .

The lanterns before the THORN BETA 5 lanterns were THORN BETA 4 lanterns ( MBF bulb , less gear ) .
