 This is along the HIGH STREET. This photo was taken in DEC 2000 .

The street lights are THORN ALPHA 3 lanterns (semi-cut off type bowls , less gear, SON-T bulbs , Nema socket photocells ) and these are on THORN OWGB42 brackets which have got the control gear for the lanterns in them and these are mounted at 8M on the walls. The old street lights were 5M Concrete Utilities (FLUTED TYPE ) posts with post top PHOSCO  P109 GEORGIAN lanterns ( MBF bulbs , refractors , less gear , timeswitches ) and these were replaced in the early 70s ? .

This is along WEST STREET and this photo was taken in DEC in the late 90s .

The street lights are 8M metal posts with THORN ALPHA 3 lanterns (semi-cut off type bowls , less gear, SON-T bulbs , 2 part photocells ) . The old street lights were 5M Concrete Utilities (FLUTED TYPE ) posts with post top PHOSCO  P109 GEORGIAN lanterns ( MBF bulbs , less gear , timeswitches ) and these were replaced in the early 70s ? .


 

This is along DEAN STREET and this photo was taken in DEC 2004 .

The lantern on this 8M post is a URBIS ZX3 lantern (integral gear, SON-T bulb , Nema socket photocell)  and the lantern that used to be on this post was a THORN ALPHA 3 lantern (semi-cut off type bowl , less gear, SON-T bulb , RTE P42 2 part photocell ) .

Most of the rest of the lighting along this road are THORN ALPHA 9 lanterns ( less gear, 90W SOX bulb , RTE P42 2 part photocell)  and these 8M meal posts made by Fabrikat .These were replaced in the early 70s ? .
