LONG CRENDON ,

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE

This page is about some STREETLIGHTING in LONG CRENDON in BUCKINGHAMSHIRE.

JUNE 2002

Most of the street lights in this village are on telegraph posts mounted at 5M and the lanterns are on AC FORD AC84 brackets with AC FORD AC?? cast control boxes . Most of the lanterns are 2 types of top entry THORN BETA 4 lanterns ( refractor bowl , clear bowl - plastic refractor , less gear ) , ELECO HW852 lantern and I think all these lanterns these have got MBF bulbs in them and they got NEMA sockets photocells on the telegraph posts next to the AC FORD brackets .

The 5M posts are CU PHOSCO PRECINCT aluminium posts and they got on them are 2 types of top entry THORN BETA 4 lanterns ( refractor bowl , clear bowl - plastic refractor , less gear ) and some side entry SIMPLEX DIADEMS ( less gear ) and I think all these lanterns these have got MBF bulbs in them and they got RTE P42 2 part photocells on them .

In the SQUARE where the shops are , the lights are URBIS 6M HERITAGE BLENHEIM metal posts with the single arm top entry STRUT brackets with URBIS ALBANY lanterns ( painted black , integral gear , FROSTED ROUND BOWLS , SONT BULBS , miniature 1 part photocells ) .

In WENDOVER and BUCKINGHAM towns has got some of these HERITAGE BLENHEIM metal posts with the single arm top entry STRUT brackets with URBIS ALBANY lanterns ( integral gear , FROSTED ROUND BOWLS , SONT BULBS , miniature 1 part photocells )

2011?

I noticed all these street lights have all gone.  All the street lights are now DW WINDSOR 5M heritage posts with top entry DW WINDSOR lanterns .
