This is along HIGH STREET and this photo was taken in DEC 1996.

The street lights are THORN ALPHA 3 lanterns ( SON-T bulbs) , URBIS ZX2 lanterns  ( SON-T bulbs) and these are on 10M metal posts. In 1984 all the bulbs were changed from MBF bulbs to SON-T bulbs in the THORN ALPHA 3 lanterns and painted the posts grey .

Before the THORN ALPHA 3 lanterns , they were top entry lanterns mounted at 8M on the same posts .

The new street lights are URBIS SATURN lanterns  ( SON-T bulbs , integral gear , miniature 1 part photocells ) and these are on 8M metal posts and these were installed in 1998.

This is along DESBOROUGH ROAD and this photo was taken in DEC 2002 .

The new street lights are made by D.W.WINDSOR  and these were installed in DEC 2002.The lanterns are D.W.WINDSOR  OPTIMA POLAR  lanterns ( 150W SON-T bulbs) . These posts have been painted black in 2005.

The old street lights lanterns are PHILIPS MA50 lanterns  ( 135W SOX bulbs , less gear ,Nema socket photocells ) . The old lanterns before the PHILIPS MA50 lanterns were GEC Z8526 lanterns ( MBF bulbs , semi-cut off bowls , less gear , timeswitches ) and these were replaced in the middle 80s .
