This is along WATERSIDE ( junction of WATER BAG BANK ) and this photo was taken in 1976. This is near the train station.

A cast iron post with a unknown post top lantern ( MBF bulb ) . On the wall there is a CU PHOSCO P109 lantern ( mercury ( MBF ) bulb , glass refractor ) and these two were on during the day . Along this road the rest of the lighting posts are 5M REVO MOSELEY cast iron posts with post top CU PHOSCO P109 lanterns ( mercury ( MBF ) bulb , glass refractors ) and the posts and lanterns were painted green .

YEAR 1993 - When I visited KNARESBOROUGH in this year , on this cast iron post there is a CU PHOSCO P109 lantern ( mercury ( MBF ) bulb , glass refractor ) and the wall mounted lantern was the same one ( CU PHOSCO P109 lantern ) as in 1976 . Along this road all the posts were now painted black.

YEAR 2008 - When I visited KNARESBOROUGH in this year ,this post has been replaced with a new modern 5M heritage post with a post top SUGG GROSVENOR lantern  ( integral gear , horizontal CFL bulbs , road lighting reflectors , miniature 1 part photocells ) . The miniature 1 part photocell are fitted on the top of the lantern . All the rest of the lanterns along this road are now these SUGG GROSVENOR lanterns.

This is along the HIGH STREET and this photo was taken in SEPT 2008.  The lanterns are THORN ALPHA 8 lanterns and these have got flat glass bowls on them  ( integral gear , SON-T bulbs , Nema socket photocells ) . These are mounted at 8M posts and these are on the walls as well . The old lanterns were REVO HORIZON lanterns ? .
