The lamp posts are 8M STANTON AND STAVELEY Concrete posts with 2M metal extensions to raise the mounting height of the lanterns to 10M . The post top lanterns are GEC ZD10547 lanterns (SON bulbs ) .

YEAR 1980 - The lamp posts are 8M STANTON AND STAVELEY Concrete posts with post top GEC Fluorescent lanterns .

YEAR Dec 1981 - The lamp posts are 8M STANTON AND STAVELEY Concrete posts with post top GEC Fluorescent lanterns .

YEAR 1980S - The post top lanterns that were on these posts were post top GEC Fluorescent lanterns and in the 80s these lanterns were changed to GEC ZD10547 lanterns with 2M metal extensions .

YEAR 1990 - When I visited WESTON SUPER MARE , these GEC ZD10547 lanterns were on the posts.

YEAR 2007 - These GEC ZD10547 lanterns were on the posts.

YEAR 2009 - These GEC ZD10547 lanterns were on the posts. I seen on a web page all these posts and lanterns will be replaced with new posts and lanterns in the year 2009.

T4 ON THE BEACH programme  was on CHANNEL 4 on the 19-20 July 2009 . The old street lights are still there and and the new street lights are now installed and the posts are made of metal and these are 10M tall .  On each post there is a lantern at the top of the post and a lantern halfway along the post. The lanterns are URBIS FURYO 1 lanterns and URBIS FURYO 2 lanterns .

YEAR April 2010 - All the old street lights are now gone .

The new lamp posts are 10M metal posts with URBIS FURYO 2 lanterns mounted at 10M and URBIS FURYO 1 lanterns mounted at 5M .

These have got CosmoPolis Cosmo White bulbs , electronic ballests and Leaf Node units .

There is at least Branch Node unit and this control the lanterns by radio control .

These 5M STANTON AND STAVELEY 7A Concrete posts with metal extensions . The lanterns are side entry PHILIPS STREETFIGHTER ( SGS101) lanterns  ( SON-T bulbs, Nema socket photocells , integral gear ) .These have got SELC 841 photocells on the lanterns.

YEAR 1980 - Most of the side road lights were 5M STANTON AND STAVELEY 7A Concrete posts with swan neck brackets.The lanterns were top entry GEC Z558012B lanterns ( MBF bulbs, less gear,refractor bowls,RTE P42 2 part photocells) .

YEAR 1990 - When I visited WESTON SUPER MARE all the swan neck brackets and the lanterns were changed with new ones. Every post had a new metal bracket with a side entry PHILIPS MI50 lantern ( 35W SOX bulb,integral gear, RTE P5 Nema socket photocells ) . All the metal brackets were painted black. I noticed some side entry PHILIPS MI 26 lanterns ( 35W SOX bulb,integral gear, RTE P5 Nema socket photocells ) and some side entry PHILIPS MI55 lanterns ( 70W SON-E bulb,integral gear, RTE P5 Nema socket photocells ) .

The replacement post is a 10 M Aluminium metal post with a side entry URBIS SAPPHIRE 2 lantern ( SELC 841 Nema socket photocell ) .
