This is along a road which is next to the bus station which is in the city centre and this was taken in Year Sept 1991.

The street lights are on telegraph posts which are mounted at 5M . The lanterns are top entry ELSA lanterns (GLS bulbs ) .

YEAR Sept 2005 - All the ELSA lanterns have gone

Sometime between Sept 1991-Sept 2005 all the top ELSA lanterns have been replaced with side entry WRTL SRL8 lanterns ( integral gear , SON-T bulbs, Nema socket photocells ) .

 This is along one of the road ( BROAD STREET ? ) which is along the city centre and this was taken in Year Sept 2005.

The street lights are mounted on the walls at 5M . The post top lanterns are GEC Z5640 lanterns (less gear) .

A 5M cast iron post with post top REVO EASTBOURNE lantern  .

This has got a Nema socket SELC 841 photocell  on it.

The lamp posts are 5M cast iron posts with post top JW UK LIGHTING LTD SOMERSET lanterns ( glass refractors , SON-E bulbs , miniature photocells , integral gear ) . These street lights were here in Sept 1991 and my guess these lights were installed in the 80s? .

The old street lights were wall mounted type ,mounted at 5M and the brackets were 2-3 M long. The lanterns were post top GEC Z5640 lanterns (less gear) .
