This is along  FAIR MILE ( A4130 ) and this was taken in Year July 2003.

The street lights are 8 M metal posts with post top URBIS SAPPHIRE 2 lanterns ( SON-T bulbs , integral gear , green colour canopy , low profile polycarbonate bowls , miniature 1 part photocells ) and these lanterns were installed around year 2000 and the posts were repainted light green at the same time .

Before this these posts were brown with brackets and the lanterns were THORN ALPHA 3 lanterns ( SON-T bulbs , less gear , semi-cut off bowls , RTE P42 photocells ) and these were installed in the 70s? .

These street lights were replaced with new posts and lanterns in the year 2011. The new street lights are 8 M Stainton metal posts with side entry brackets with WRTL ARC lanterns ( SON-T bulbs , green colour canopy , miniature 1 part photocells ).

There is only one THORN ALPHA 3 lantern ( SON-T bulb , less gear , semi-cut off bowl , RTE P42 photocells ) with a bracket and it is along READING ROAD (A4155 ) at the junction of STATION ROAD.  This post and lantern is now gone in the year 2006 . The new post is a 8M D.W.WINDSOR post with a D.W.WINDSOR STRAND lantern ( SON-T bulb , miniature 1 part photocell ) .

 This is along  LEICESTER CLOSE and this was taken in Year July 2003.

5M Concrete Utilities (FLUTED TYPE ) posts with PHOSCO P109 GEORGIAN post top lanterns ( MBF bulbs , less gear , RTE P42 photocells ) and there is about 3 along this road .

These lights are still here in 2010.

I noticed these lanterns has got changed to post top changed to WRTL ARC lanterns ( SON-T bulbs , black colour canopy , miniature 1 part photocells ) in Jan 2011.

 This is along  BADGEMORE LANE  and this was taken in Year July 2003. 

4M cast iron post with a AC FORD bracket with a top entry THORN BETA 4 lantern ( MBF bulb , less gear , RTE P42 photocell ) and there is just one along this road .

I noticed the control box,swan neck bracket and the lantern has now been changed with new ones in the year 2008 . The new lantern is a top entry DW WINDSOR IFFLEY lantern ( SON-T bulb , green colour canopy , miniature 1 part photocell ) .

  This is along  NEW STREET and this was taken in Year July 2003. 

This is the only road left with these THORN ALPHA 3 lanterns ( SON-T bulbs , integral gear , semi-cut off bowls , Nema socket photocells ) and these are at 8M high and these lanterns were along most of the roads in the town centre.

In the late 90s most of the town centre street lighting were changed with heritage wall brackets , 6M heritage D.W.WINDSOR OXFORD metal posts , post top D.W.WINDSOR WINDSOR lanterns ( SON-T bulbs , integral gear , miniature 1 part photocells , DIAMOND OPTIC reflectors , HIGHBEAM glass refractors ) and these are painted dark green . These D.W.WINDSOR WINDSOR lanterns has got less decorative bits on them and on the standard lanterns they got more decorative bits on them.

 This is along  MARKET PLACE  and this was taken in Year July 2003. 

D.W.WINDSOR LANCASTER lantern ( SON-T bulb , integral gear , miniature 1 part photocell , DIAMOND OPTIC reflector ) on a wall bracket . You can see where the 4 bolt holes used to be where the old bracket was and it is above the new wall bracket.

This D.W.WINDSOR WINDSOR lantern has got less decorative bits on it and on the standard lanterns they got more decorative bits on them.

5M Concrete Utilities Concrete BYWAY X type posts with post top GEC Z5671 lanterns ( MBF bulbs , less gear , glass refractors , RTE P42 photocells ) , URBIS SINTRA lantern ( SON-T bulbs , green colour canopy , low profile polycarbonate bowls , SELC 841 Nema socket photocells , miniature 1 part photocells ) , URBIS SAPPHIRE 1 lanterns ( SON-T bulbs , green colour canopy , low profile polycarbonate bowls , miniature 1 part photocells ) .

In 2007 these street lights got changed to D.W.WINDSOR OXFORD posts , post top D.W.WINDSOR WINDSOR lanterns ( SON-T bulbs , integral gear , miniature 1 part photocells , DIAMOND OPTIC reflectors ) and these are painted dark green .

   This is along  READING ROAD (A4155 )  and this was taken in Year July 2003. 

8M metal posts with PHILIPS MA 90 lanterns ( 90W SOX bulbs , less gear , SELC 841 Nema socket photocells ) .

These PHILIPS MA 90 lanterns were installed around 1979-1980 and these are the earlier design of this lantern . PHILIPS changed the design of this lantern in 1982-1983 .

On these 8M posts were THORN ALPHA 3 lanterns ( SON-T bulb , less gear , semi-cut off bowl , RTE P42 photocells ) .and these were installed in the 70s? .

At the crossing there are two URBIS ZX3 ZEBRA lanterns ( MH bulbs , green colour canopy , green colour SELC 841 Nema socket photocells ) .
