These streetlights are along OXFORD STREET and this photo was taken in DEC 1989 .

The streetlights are 10M GEC octagonal tapered steel posts with new side entry CU PHOSCO P370 DRUM lanterns ( SON-T bulbs, Nema socket photocells , integral gear ) and these were installed in 1989 . The old lanterns were post top GEC ZD10547 lanterns ( three 250-400w MBF bulbs , less gear, timeswitches) . After a time these post have got painted black .Alot of these posts and lanterns were replaced with new ones  between 1990-1996 .The new streetlights are SELUX  10M metal posts with  SELUX top entry lanterns   ( SON-E bulbs, photocells , integral gear ) .

The streetlights are 12M metal posts with THORN ALPHA 8 lanterns ( MK1 old type with 2 bulbs in them ) .These has got SON-T bulbs and Nema socket photocells . The colour of these post is black and the old colour was gold .

All these street lights has now beeen been replaced with new ones . The new street lights are now 10M metal posts with 2 lanterns on each post . The lanterns are side entry DW WINDSOR RIO lanterns ( MH-T bulbs , integral gear , miniature 1 part photocell )  .

When the THORN ALPHA 8 lanterns were installed , they had 3 400W MBF bulbs in them and after some years been converted to 2 400W SON-E bulbs .Around  in the middle 80s Nema socket photocells were installed on the top of the lanterns .

This is a photo is of a new updated version of the post top GREY WORNUM lantern ( reflector in with horizontal SON-T bulb  , miniature 1 part photocell ) and this is on a new 6M metal heritage post .The hinge for this lantern is on the side .

This was installed in 2002 .

I think the lantern is made by URBIS . I seen one of these lanterns with a green label on it and URBIS use green labels and I seen the same type on a URBIS ABBEY lantern  .

The streetlights are 10M metal posts with post top LARGE GREY WORNUM lanterns ( reflector with 2 horizontal   CosmoPolis Cosmo White ( CPO TW ) bulbs  , LeafNode) . My guess this is made by URBIS and there is no name plate on this lantern .

The hinge is on the side of the lantern . These lanterns looks it is a bigger lantern than a normal LARGE GREY WORNUM lantern  . My guess  they done this ,so they can fit 2 bulbs in it . The reflector looks like the same in URBIS lanterns . On the top of this lantern ,there is 2 LeafNode aerials .

These were installed in 2009 .  All the old street lights along PICCADILLY were replaced with new posts and LARGE GREY WORNUM lanterns .

The old streetlights were 12M metal posts with side entry URBIS ZX 3 lanterns . Before the side entry URBIS ZX 3 lanterns , the lanterns were ELECO GR305 lanterns .
