THORN BETA 5 LANTERN

 

This is a THORN BETA 5 lantern . This is a integral gear lantern and this is for a 35W SOX bulb .This has got a NEMA socket in it with a RTE P5 photocell .This photocell was made in the 70s . I bought this lantern in 2001.This has got a plastic catch for the bowl .With these lanterns in the early 80s THORN changed the metal catches to plastic ones and in 1989 THORN changed the design of the lantern. I got another THORN BETA 5 lantern with a metal catch on it.
